Aymnsoya lives in Kandiga, a village in rural northern Ghana. Thanks to your donation, Aymnsoya received a bicycle and was taught how to take care of it.
Aymnsoya uses her bicycle to get to her farmland and to the market several miles away. She buys millet at the Kandiga market, and then resells it in the Sirigu market, which is 10 miles away. In Sirigu, she buys ground nuts, and sells them in the Kandiga Market. Without her bike, she paid transport fare to move goods back and forth, and she didn’t have enough time to go to the woman’s association community meetings. She says “The women’s group leader helped us get these bicycles. I am free now to go to anyplace I want, so I am happy!” Owning a bike will save Aymnsoya many hours every week, and will help her be more productive and successful.
Aymnsoya is very thankful for your donation, Steve! Thanks for your support of the Village Bicycle Project!
