Abubakari Nsheratu is from the village Dupari, in the Upper West Region of Ghana. The closest town is Bulenga, which is 5 km away. There is no public transportation between Bulenga and Dupari, and most people walk everywhere they go.
Abubakari is a student, and thanks to your donation, received a bicycle from Village Bicycle Project. She was taught how to take care of it! She goes to a school about 5 km from Dupari, which normally it takes her an hour to walk. With a bicycle Abubakari says she can come home and do more homework and chores at home, as well as at her family’s farm. “Without walking so much, I can do more!” she says.
Abubakari is very thankful for your donation, Sterling and Melinda! Thank you for your support of Village Bicycle Project!
