Al is the acting chief of the village Konjiahi, in Ghana. Thanks to your donation, he received a bicycle and was taught how to take care of it! In addition to his leadership of the village of Konjiahi, Al is also a deeply respected traditional healer who attracts people from as far away as Burkina Faso.
Al finds it difficult to walk, and uses his bicycle to move around the village more easily and quickly. He also cycles from Konjiahi to Wa every six days for market day, a distance of about eight miles. In Wa he visits family members and enjoys the social atmosphere.
Al is very thankful for your donation, Thomas! Thank you for your support of Village Bicycle Project!
