Mahamad rides his new bike to school!

Dear Ted and Pam,

Mahamad is from the village Dupari, in the Upper West Region of Ghana. Most people in Dupari are farmers who grow yams, corn, peanuts, millett and sorghum, and they take their produce to Bulenga for sale. Bulenga is the closest town to Dupari, and is located about three miles away. Bulenga has a Junior High School and a clinic whereas Dupari only has a primary school. Mahamad attends a school is Bulenga, but as there no public transportation between Bulenga and Dupari, he had to walk.

Thanks to your donation, Mahamad received a bicycle and was taught how to take care of it! Having a bike will save Mahamad many hours of walking each week. He uses the bike to ride to and from school in Bulenga, and also rides to neighboring villages to find work. Mahamad says he will always use oil for the chains and will take good care of his bicycle. He is very thankful for your donation, Ted and Pam!

Thank you for your support of Village Bicycle Project!
