Issahaku is from the small village of Dupari, in the Upper West Region of Ghana. Thanks to your donation, Issahaku received a bicycle from Village Bicycle Project and was taught how to take care of it. The closest town to Dupari is Bulenga, which is 5 km away. There is no public transportation between Bulenga and Dupari, so most people walk.
Issahaku says, I will use the bicycle to go to Dupari School. It is a 1 hour walk each way from my home to school. Walking is tiring, and takes so much time! I will use the extra time I save from riding to read and study. I am very happy about my bicycle. Owning a bike will get Issahaku to school on time, and give him more time to do his school work and help his family on their farm. He will also be able to go to Bulenga to shop for things his family needs.
Issahaku is very thankful for your donation, Craig! Thank you for your support of Village Bicycle Project!
