Gaataa lives in Dupari, in the Upper West Region of Ghana. Her village only has an elementary school.
She walks every day to Bulenga, a town nearby that has a Junior High School and a clinic.
Now, Kenneth, thanks to your donation, Gaataa is able to bike to school!
When Gaataa received the bike you donated, she said “It is three kilometers from my home to school. I will also use my bicycle to go to farm and many other things. I get tired from walking so much but now the bicycle will keep me from getting so tired.”
Most people in Dupari are farmers who grow yams, corn, peanuts, millett and sorghum, and they take their produce to Bulenga for sale.
Gaataa is very thankful for the bicycle, Kenneth!
