Numbo is a 12 years old student who lives near the village of Dupari, in the Upper West Region of Ghana. His family and most people in Dupari are farmers. They take the products from their farm to the market in Bulenga, three miles away. There is no public transportation between Bulenga and Dupari, and therefore most people walk.
Numbo is a student who travels about 1.5 km to get to school in Dupari. Thanks to your donation, Numbo received a bicycle and learned how to take care of it! He will share the bicycle with his brothers and sisters because they helped him buy the bicycle. He is very excited about his new bicycle and says, “The bicycle makes me do everything FAST!” Now Numbo can travel faster to and from school, and avoid arriving late. Owning a bike gives him more time to study, will increase his attendance at school, and gives him time to help on the family farm. Life with a bicycle will be much easier!
Numbo is very thankful for your donation, Brandon! Thank you for your support of Village Bicycle Project!
