Saidu will use his bike to ride seven miles every day!

39 Dupari Saidu Hamidu
Dear Barney,

Saidu is a farmer from the village Dupari, located in the Upper West Region of Ghana. Most people in Dupari are farmers who grow yams, corn, peanuts, millet and sorghum. They take their produce to Bulenga for sale, which is about five kilometers away from Dupari. There is no public transportation between Bulenga and Dupari, so most people walk.

Thanks to your donation, Saidu received a bicycle and was taught how to take care of it! He will mainly use his bicycle to go to his farm, which is seven miles from his house. He says, “I already have a bicycle, but my son uses it too, and he works at the same farm so one of us must walk every day. My son is 16. This way we can both get to farm quicker. I will be free, I can work and not be tired!”

Owning a bike will make life for Saidu and his son much easier, more productive and increase their income! Saidu is very thankful for your donation, Barney! Thank you for your support of Village Bicycle Project!
