Ahmed will use his bike to save time and increase his income!

Dear Nadia,

Ahmed is from the village Dupari, located in the Upper West Region of Ghana. Most people in Dupari are farmers who grow yams, corn, peanuts, millet and sorghum, and they take their produce to Bulenga and Chaggo for sale, both of which are 5 km away from Dupari. There is no public transportation between Dupari and Bulenga or Chaggo, so most people walk.

Thanks to your donation, Ahmed received a bicycle and was taught how to take care of it. Ahmed will use his bicycle to go to neighboring towns to see friends, and go to social events and funerals. He will also use it to go to market at Bulenga, Chaggo and Wa, which is 35km away to buy things that he can’t get in Dupari. He can sell these items to his neighbors who don’t have time to walk to the bigger towns. Owning a bike will make life for Ahmed much easier, so he can be more productive and increase his income.

Ahmed is very thankful for your donation, Nadia!  Thank you for your support of Village Bicycle Project!
