Dear Roberto,

Ibrahim is a student  from the village Dupari, located in the Upper West Region of Ghana. His family and most people in Dupari are farmers and they take their produce to Bulenga for sale, 5 km away. There is no public transportation between Bulenga and Dupari, so most people walk and carry their produce to the market. There is only a grade school in Dupari, and students must also walk the 5km to Bulenga to go to middle school or high school.

Ibrahim is a student who goes to school in Bulenga.Without a bicycle he has to walk to school, which takes him a long time and he’s often late. When he’s late, the teachers punish him, which Ibrahim doesn’t like it. Thanks to your donation, Ibrahim received a bicycle and learned how to take care of it! Now he can get to school easily and on time. He will also take his bike to his family’s farm, 4 miles from his house. The trip is much easier and faster on a bicycle than walking. Ibrahim is also excited to know how to repair flat tires on his bicycle. Owning a bike not only gives him more time to help on the family farm, but it also gives him more time to study which will increase his attendance at school!

Ibrahim is very thankful for your donation, Roberto! Thank you for your support of Village Bicycle Project!
