Apoogegun and her son are excited to ride their new bike!

Apoogegun Abergo Picture 007
Dear David,

Apoogegun lives in Kandiga, a village in rural northern Ghana. She is a farmer, and her 15 year old son is a student. They will share the bike. Their farm and the school are both 2 miles from their house.

Thanks to your donation, Apoogegun received a bicycle and was taught how to take care of it. Apoogegun’s son taught her to ride the bike, and she is very excited about this. In rural Africa, most people walk everywhere they go. Apoogegun will use her bike to carry produce, get where she needs to go quickly, and to ride to the Kandiga market. Owning a bike saves time and money, and makes life a lot more productive. Apoogegun said, “I now know how to ride a bicycle, and I can go anyplace I want to quickly! My son goes to school 2 miles away, and he uses the bicycle to get there fast!”

Apoogegun is very thankful for your donation, David! Thanks for your support of the Village Bicycle Project!
