Safia lives in Kandiga, a village in rural northern Ghana. Thanks to your donation, Safia received a bicycle and was taught how to take care of it. Safia will share her bike with her husband and her son. She will ride to the market, which is 2 miles away, a few times a week. Her husband will use the bike to visit his parents and relatives in the evenings, and her son will ride the bike 2 miles to school.
Safia says, “The bicycle will make life much easier and free for us! My son can ride to school and arrive on time, so the teachers will not be angry with him! I am happy not to carry nuts and tomatoes and things on my head while walking!” Owning a bike will save Safia hours every week, and will help her whole family to be more productive and successful.
Safia is very thankful for your donation, Marta! Thanks for your support of the Village Bicycle Project!
