Amegmi Abaah lives in the village called Kandiga, in rural northern Ghana. She is a farmer and makes Shea butter to sell in the market. Thanks to your donation, Amegmi received a bicycle and was taught how to take care of it.
Amegmi uses her bike to go to the bigger town of Junction, which is 5 miles away! In the larger town she is able to buy more Shea nuts and transport them home with her new bicycle. When she was walking the 5 miles she could not carry as many Shea nuts. Beeing able to buy more Shea nuts gives her the ability to produce more shea butter, and increase her income. Amegmi says, “With the bike I can earn more money! Also, it is so far to our farm. We are very happy for this bike!”
Amegmi is very thankful for your donation, Stephanie! Thanks for your support of the Village Bicycle Project!
