Anebobah lives in Kandiga, a village in rural northern Ghana. Thanks to your donation, Anebobah received a bicycle and was taught how to take care of it.
Anebobah sells millet in the local Kandiga market. She will use her bike to go to the main town of Sigru, which is 17 km away, and order the grain to be delivered to her town. She saves a lot of time walking and also saves the car fares on the main road. Anebobah can travel to the distant market much faster and more often on her bicycle. She can increase her income substantially. She says “I will share my bike with my three children, and they will get to school and not always be so tired! I use the extra money I earn to pay for school fees.” Owning a bike will save Anebobah many hours every week, and will help her to be more productive.
Anebobah is very thankful for your donation, Vikas! Thanks for your support of the Village Bicycle Project!
