Alarimasah does not have to carry heavy loads on her head anymore!

Picture 039
Dear Ted and Pam,

Alarimasah lives in Kandiga, a village in rural northern Ghana. Thanks to your donation, Alarimasah received a bicycle and was taught how to take care of it.

Alarimasah uses the bike to get to her farm and to the market, which is several miles away. Alarimasah wanted a bicycle because she is not strong enough to walk to the distant markets and carry things home on her head. With the bicycle she is able to purchase more items from the distant market to resell in her own local market. She says,”The bicycle has helped me because I do not carry the load on my head. I have a chest problem from carrying loads on my head. Now I can carry things on my bicycle and make more money.” Owning a bike will save Alarimasah many hours every week, and will help her be more productive and successful.

Alarimasah is very thankful for your donation, Ted and Pam! Thanks for your support of the Village Bicycle Project!
