Aasiba saves time and money with her bike!

Picture 053
Dear Susan and James,

Aasiba lives in Kandiga, a village in rural northern Ghana. Thanks to your donation, Ayoni received a bicycle and was taught how to take care of it.

Aasiba uses her bicycle to get to her farm and to the market several miles away. She is excited that she can use her bike to ride to the market in Sirigu, which is 10 miles away. Before she received her bike, she always had to walk to Sirigu!  In Sirigu, she will go to the market and attend the women’s community association meetings during which she has a chance to discuss family and health issues with other women.

Aasiba’s children also ride the bike to run errands for their parents. She says“The bike will bring change to my life, because I do not suffer to go to meetings, I do not suffer to go to market. Expenses spent on riding in cars are no more.”

Owning a bike will save Aasiba many hours every week and the family will save cost on transportation.

Aasiba is very thankful for your donation, Susan and James!  Thanks for your support of the Village Bicycle Project!
