Ale-gikiro Rides Quickly!

Picture 076
Dear Ryan,

Ale-gikiro lives in the village called Kandiga, in rural northern Ghana. Thanks to your donation, Ale-gikiro Aneiye received a bicycle and was taught how to take care of it.

Ale-gikiro Aneiye sells fermented small dried fish to the local school buys in Kandiga. She goes to Bolga, 11 miles away, to buy the fish. Without the bike, she would walk 3 miles to the main road, then pay transport fee, then have to carry her load back home when she returned. Using the bike and a load carrier, she will increase her income substantially, and she is very happy. She says ” Walking is a misery, and causes much suffering! I will earn more money because of the bicycle. Before I worked so hard for almost no profit!” Owning a bike will save Ale-gikiro many hours every week, and will help her business be more productive and successful.

Ale-gikiro is very thankful for your donation, Ryan! Thanks for your support of the Village Bicycle Project!
