Ayimepam lives in Kandiga, a village in rural northern Ghana. She is a farmer, and her 15 year old son whom she will share the bike with is a student. Their house is six miles away from their farm and two miles away from the school.
Thanks to your donation, Ayimepam received a bicycle and was taught how to take care of it. Ayimepam’s son will use the bike to carry produce, get where he needs to go quickly, and will be able to ride to the the farm on weekends. In rural Africa, most people walk everywhere they go. Owning a bike saves time and money, and makes life a lot more productive. Ayimepam says, “My son goes to school and the farm, he is a big help!”
Ayimepam is very thankful for your donation, Lynda! Thanks for your support of the Village Bicycle Project!
