Monica Boahemah is from Bodaa, Ghana, on the western boarder next to Cote D’Ivoire. Most people in this town of about 1000 people are farmers, and the soil is fairly rich there. People in Bodaa walk most places they go, and waste valuable time getting to where they need to go. Thanks to your donation, Monica received a bicycle and was taught how to take care of it.
Monica is 35 years old and produces cashews. Her farm is about 6 km from her house, so she will ride her bicycle there instead of walking, saving her two hours each time she goes! She also lets her children ride the bicycle around town in the evenings to see their friends. Owning a bike saves time and energy for Monica and her family, and makes life a lot more productive!
Monica is very thankful for your donation, Kathy! Thanks for your support of the Village Bicycle Project!
