Serwaa is from Bodaa, Ghana, on the western border next to Cote D’Ivoire. Most people in this town of about 1000 people are farmers, and the soil is fairly good there. People in Bodaa walk most places they go, which wastes valuable time.
Serwaa is a teacher at a middle school, and thanks to your donation, received a bicycle and learned how to care for it. Serwaa will use her bicycle to get to school as well as bike between schools in her town. Serwaa used to walk, but now is able to bike, saving time and energy. She also shares her bike with her husband who is also a teacher. Owning a bike saves time and energy for Serwaa and her husband, and makes life a lot easier and more productive!
Serwaa is very thankful for your donation, Joel! Thanks for your support of the Village Bicycle Project!
