Anoresom’s new bike will benefit the whole family!

Picture 028
Dear Meghan,

Anoresom is a subsistence farmer who lives with her family in Kandiga, a rural village in northern Ghana.  Thanks to your donation, Abogango received a bicycle and was taught how to take care of it.

The whole family will share the bike. She lets her son use the bike to get to school. Most students have many morning chores at home, such as feeding animals and hauling water, and it is hard for them to get to school on time.  The teachers are very strict, and punish students who are late.  The bike gives her son time to do his chores in the morning and still be at school on time. It will improve his attendance and also gives him more time to do his homework. It gives him a chance to be a good student. Owning a bike will also save other family members time and money and help them be more productive.

Anoresom is very thankful for your donation, Meghan!  Thanks for your support of the Village Bicycle Project!
