Comfort, of Kwaminakrom, in northern Ghana, is a cocoa farmer. She bought a bicycle to get to her farm which is a very long distance from her home. The bike also helps her save money when she goes to market because she no longer uses taxis and rides instead. Comfort has already had to repair a punctured tire, so she believes that the knowledge learned in the VBP repair workshop has been most useful. Thank you Kabir for helping Comfort improve her life!

Beatrice Afrifa is 24 years old and works at a small provision store in the village 3 km from her house. She uses her bike to reach the market when it is market day. It makes travel faster and saves money. In the repair workshop she learned to wear light colors at night so that cars will see her and to stay safe. The bike is making a difference in her life and she thanks Neil for it.

Job Amponsah is a cocoa farmer. He uses his bike to go to and from his farm daily, about 5 km each way. He lives in the remote village of Nkrabea and travels with his bike to the nearest market town which is 6 km away. He says he is especially happy to have the bicycle because he can attend funerals in Kwamebikrom and Debiso that he normally had to miss due to lack of transportation.
The bicycle has helped him a great deal because his farm is very far from his house and now he is more productive because he has more time to work. He is definitely saving money because before the bicycle he would have to pay for transportation, equal to about $1.20 per day. Job learned a great deal during the repair workshop, but so far he has had no problems with his bicycle.
Job thanks Neil for his generous and helpful donation!

Aminata lives in a remote village called Kwasibadukrom, so she uses the bike to get to market where she is a petty trader. She also allows her daughter to use the bike to go to school; before they had the bike she says her daughter hardly went to school because it was too far, but now she goes everyday.
The bicycle helps Aminata make money since she is able to go to market more frequently and for longer periods of time. She says she learned a lot during the training, and that repairing punctured tires has been the most useful. Thanks Juan-Carlos for your support!
