Alahassan rides her bicycle three miles to school

www.villagebicycleproject.org
Dear Joel,

Alahassan is a student  from Dupari, a village located in the Upper West Region of Ghana. Most people in Dupari are farmers who grow yams, corn, peanuts, millett and sorghum. They sell their products in Bulenga, a town three miles from Dupari. There is no public transportation between Bulenga and Dupari. Most people from Bulenga usually walk to Dupari and back.

Thanks to your donation, Alahassan received a bicycle and was taught how to take care of it.  Alahassan is a student at Bulenga Junior High School.  She says, “I live in Dupari, which is 3 miles away and  I walk to school everyday.  Walking everyday makes me tired.  I am happy bicycles are in my village!” Owning a bike will make it easier for Alahassan to get to school on time, have more time for school work and to help her family.

Alahassan is very thankful for your donation, Joel!  Thank you for your support of Village Bicycle Project!
