Insah is from the village Dupari, located in the Upper West Region of Ghana. Insah is a farmer, and like most people in Dupari grows yams, corn, peanuts, millett and sorghum. He takes the products from his farm to the market in Bulega which is three miles away. There is no public transportation between Bulenga and Dupari. Most people walk the distance between the two villages, often with heavy loads.
Thanks to your donation, Insah received a bicycle and was taught how to take care of it. He said, “I will use my bicycle to go to my farm. It takes 1 hour to walk to my farm. I can now go to the farm quicker and more often and produce more food. I will be able to carry yams, other vegetables, and tools on my bicycle. This makes more money for me and my family.”
Insah is very thankful for your donation, Jane! Thank you for your support of Village Bicycle Project!
