Lompo is a farmer from the village Dupari, located in the Upper West Region of Ghana. Most people in Dupari are farmers who grow yams, corn, peanuts, millett and sorghum. The farmers take their products to the market in Bulenga, which is three miles from Dupari. There is no public transportation between Bulenga and Dupari. Most people walkfrom the village to the town, often with heavy loads.
Thanks to your donation, Lompo received a bicycle and was taught how to take care of it. He says, “I will travel to my farm from Dupari. It is 10 miles round trip. Yeah! I get tired too much! The bicycle will make me not so tired. I am very, very happy. I hope for more bikes for Dupari village.” Owning a bike will make Lompo life easier, more productive and give him more time for everything.
Lompo is very thankful for your donation, Jonathon! Thank you for your support of Village Bicycle Project!
