Mahama will use his bike to complete his work faster, earn more money and go to night school

Dear James,

Mahama  is from Dupari, a village located in the Upper West Region of Ghana. Most people in Dupari are farmers who grow yams, corn, peanuts, millett and sorghum. They take their products to the town of Bulenga to sell them on the market.  There is no public transportation between Bulenga and Dupari, and therefore most people walk the three miles from the village to the town, often with heavy loads.

Thanks to your donation, Mahama received a bicycle and was taught how to take care of it.  Mahama grows yams to sell.  He has to transport them three miles over rough terrain and is excited to use his bicycle to transport them more quickly.  He says, “I will come back earlier from the farm, and earn more money.  And now I can go to night school, which is an English literacy class.”

Mahama is very thankful for your donation, James!  Thank you for your support of Village Bicycle Project!
