Mwengu is from the town of Bulenga, in the Upper West Region of Ghana. Mwengu is a teacher in the village of Dupari, about 3 miles away. There is no public transportation between Bulenga and Dupari, so most people walk where they need to go.
Thanks to your donation, Mwengu received a bicycle and was taught how to take care of it. Without a bicycle Mwengu had to walk an hour from Bulenga to work, but now that he has a bicycle he can get there faster. He says with the bicycle he now can get to school so fast that he can teach extra classes. His way home after school also takes less time, giving him more time and energy for other things.
Mwengu is very thankful for your donation, Joel! Thank you for your support of Village Bicycle Project!
