Aberido lives in Kandiga, a village in rural northern Ghana. She is a farmer and grows all the food that her family eats. Aberido’s son is a farmer and a teacher, and they will share the bike. Their farm, the nearest town, and the school are all 2 miles from their house.
Thanks to your donation, Aberido received a bicycle and was taught how to take care of it. She said, “The bicycle has brought change because we used to walk from the farm to our house with groundnuts. We used to carry everything on our heads, but now we use the bicycle!” Owning a bike saves Aberido time and money, and makes life a lot more productive!
Aberido is very thankful for your donation, Shannon! Thanks for your support of the Village Bicycle Project!
